SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 16th, 2019 – Apurba's CEO presented a paper title “Component Sound Analysis System for Extraction and Analysis of Medical Information from Doctor-Patient Encounters” at BMES Annual Meeting 2019. This event was organized by Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) on 16-19th October 2019 in Philadelphia.
This paper aimed to analyze patients' speech signals in terms of some specific sound properties, and to use them as early indicators to predict the onset of certain diseases. This paper was a further development of “Wired Room”, capable of capturing and extracting missed sources of information during healthcare encounters that has the potential to improve both accuracy of diagnosis and the interpersonal aspect of the doctor patient interaction.
The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) is the professional society for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. Founded in early 1968, the Society now boasts over 7,000 members and is growing, rapidly. BMES serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineering and bioengineering.
